A change is coming: What to know about Edit Order’s pricing update

Pricing update in Edit Order

Edit Order's monthly price is updating for select merchants

Because of your loyalty and support for Edit Order, our team has been able to spend the last two years improving your order management with helpful new features, including:

  • Adding products in 2 clicks with Product Shortcuts

  • Checking customer data directly on orders

  • More convenient and intuitive Payment Requests

  • One-click exchange for color, size, and style

  • Edit Order’s redesign for faster and easier order editing

  • And more!

Increasing your efficiency in quick, intuitive ways has always been our team’s highest priority. In March 2019, the price of Edit Order’s Standard Plan was changed to $29 per month. Existing merchants were able to continue accessing Edit Order at a special, grandfathered price of $19 per month.

On August 25, 2021, this special pricing will come to an end. All merchants on the Standard Plan will be asked to update to the current $29 per month plan to continue using Edit Order.

All about Edit Order’s price change

What is the price change?

Edit Order’s pricing of $29 per month will now apply to all merchants on the Standard Plan.

What action is required?

A notification will appear in Edit Order that will prompt affected merchants to update. The account owner of the Shopify store will need to log in to approve and complete the update.

All of your data, settings, and orders will be saved exactly as is. They will be fully accessible after the price update no matter when it is completed.

Who is affected by the price change?

Only merchants who are paying a special, grandfathered price (less than $29 per month) for the Standard Plan will need to upgrade.

When will the price change happen?

The price change is set for August 25, 2021.

The last 2 years: How we’ve streamlined your Shopify orders with shortcuts and more

Over the last two years, Edit Order has become more robust than ever, complete with 1-2 click shortcuts, ways to pre-save messages, and more. Below is a roundup of some of the new features that have been added to make it easier (and faster!) to manage your Shopify orders:

Adding groups of products with only 2 clicks

Instead of manually searching and adding multiple products to your orders, Product Shortcuts allows you to set groups of products in advance. You can just click the lightning button, choose your shortcut, and the products will automatically drop into your order.

Checking customer data directly on your order

Customer Insights allows you to click the profile icon and refer to your customer’s total spend, average order value, tags, notes, and more while you’re creating or editing your order.

A cleaner, more informative process for Payment Requests

Payment Requests now allows you to show customers order changes in one email and receive their payments directly on one order in your admin. Your customers can also pay additional amounts through your current Shopify checkout.

One-click exchange for the color, size, and style of an item

This feature lets you exchange items for different colors, sizes, and styles just by clicking on the property you’d like to change and choosing the one you’d like to use instead. It works directly on the original item and doesn’t require you to delete and add the item again.

Improved design for faster and easier order editing

Edit Order’s redesign allows you to edit orders with efficiency and confidence by including more of your order editing page in its default view. The redesign also included new features like percentage discounts.

And automation is available now, coming soon to all merchants!

Edit Order’s Standard Plan will soon support automated workflows. For Shopify Plus merchants who upgrade to the Premium Plus plan on Edit Order, automation for product bundles and promotions are both already available. For other merchants, they’re on their way!

📣 Edit Order automation is coming soon for Shopify Advanced merchants. Notify me when it's available
